June 1942: an RTAF Curtiss Hawk 75N piloted by Sgt Lamoon Chivasuwan on a practice flight lost power over Lampang during an aerobatic maneuver and the pilot safely parachuted to ground. Unfortunately, the abandoned plane crashed into an occupied house in Lampang, killing one and injuring another. As a result, the pilot was reassigned as a rear gunner of an RTAF Mitsubishi Ki-21 heavy bomber.1
The exact location of the crash, whether in Lampang Town or elsewhere in the province is not recorded. Map here assumes the crash occurred in Lampang Town:2
